Seriously, this is the best strawberry milkshake ever. It’s rich and creamy with a bold strawberry flavor completely naturally imparted by real strawberries, strawberry jam and strawberry ice cream. Use organic ingredients to skip the preservatives & artificial colors and flavors found in restaurant shakes. Plus, this strawberry shake is easy to make in five minute with only five ingredients. Strawberry Milkshake: Ingredients & Substitutions

Whole milk. heavy cream or half and half are good substitutes for whole milk. Strawberry ice cream. I suggest an organic variety for the best quality and flavor – or use homemade strawberry ice cream (so good). Strawberry jam. Using strawberry jam intensifies the berry flavor naturally. You could also use strawberry sauce or syrup if you have it on hand. Strawberries. fresh or frozen both work well. Vanilla extract. Vanilla bean paste can be used in place of extract.

How to Make a Strawberry Milkshake

Let’s walk through this strawberry milkshake recipe together, and remember to watch the video for further help! Begin by removing the strawberry ice cream from the freezer about 5 minutes before making this recipe to soften slightly. Then, put the ingredients in the order listed in the container of a blender, breaking up the ice cream as you add it to the blender (for easier blending). Blend, starting on low speed and increasing to high, for 15-20 seconds for a thick milkshake. Do not over blend or it will be runny.

Serve

Pour the strawberry milkshake into 2 to 4 glasses depending on your desired serving size! Top them with whipped cream, extra strawberries, etc.

Store/Freeze

I doubt you will have any leftover strawberry milkshake, but if you do, you can store it in the freezer for up to 1 week in a glass jar.
