Mint milk tea or Pudina chai recipe is not just tasty and refreshing but it has herbal benefits too. The taste of this tea is slightly tangy. As the mint flavors and intensity are different in different regions adjust mint measure if required. Use organic mint for best results.

Benefits

This tea is very helpful in reducing bloating and also helps indigestion. It also helps get you fresher breath, better digestion and reduced pain from headaches. When paired with little ginger root, the benefits even increase reducing fatigue and improving focus. We love making other chai too like karak chai and ginger milk tea.

How to make it?

Making mint tea or pudina chai is super simple and the same as making regular chai tea with just 1 extra step. We begin by boiling mint with water in fairly large vesssel that allow bubbling of tea without spilling. I can take 10 mint leaves. Allow water to boil for 5 minutes until color visibly changes to greenish tinge. Now add black tea powder. You may add tea bags. The water will rise as you add tea so reduce heat before adding tea powder. Let the tea boil for 1 minute until it loose the raw flavor and water color darkens. Then add milk. Let the tea bubble for few minutes and stay close. Adjust heat so tea continues to bubble without rising to the top and flowing over the brim. Finally, add sugar to taste and mix with spoon. Place a small strainer over the serving tea cup and strain the tea to remove tea powder. Serve hot. My other tea recipes are
