Got Leftover Pizza?

Put the boxes in the recycling bin! Keeping pizza in the box and then storing it in the fridge dries it out. Instead, store leftovers by stacking the cooled slices on a plate and wrapping in plastic wrap or store the slices in an airtight container for up to four days.

How to Reheat Pizza

This is the definitive guide to reheating pizza, whether it’s deep-dish, thin, pan, or a crispy crust, each slice comes out good as new every time! Explore with different methods to find the one that works best!

Air Fryer – favorite method Oven – crispy crust, can heat lots at once Toaster Oven – good for small amounts Stove Top – quick (no preheating required) Microwave – less crispy

In the Air Fryer: Hands down my favorite way to reheat pizza! Place the pizza in the air fryer basket and reheat at 350°F for 4-5 minutes for a pan pizza. (No need to preheat). This method is best for frozen slices, too! (Avoid cooking too long as the slices will dry out.)

In the Oven: Heat a pizza stone (or baking sheet) on the center rack in the oven at 300°F. Place single pieces on the heated pizza stone and heat for 12-14 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is crispy. No pizza stone? Use a regular cookie tray. In the Toaster Oven:  Preheat the toaster oven. Place slices on a small tray or a sheet of aluminum foil. Cook until the slices are crispy and the cheese is melted, about 8-10 minutes.

On the Stovetop: I’ve heated pizza in a skillet for as long as I can remember (before I got my air fryer) but recently learned a new little trick that comes from Roberta’s Pizza which adds a tiny splash of water. The results are amazing. Heat a dry skillet on medium-low heat. Place one or two slices of pizza in the hot skillet and add about 1/2 teaspoon water. Cover the pizza and heat until the crust is crispy and cheese is melted, about 6-8 minutes.

In the Microwave: Place one or two slices of pizza on a microwave-safe plate, with a paper towel underneath. In the center of the plate, place a small cup of water. Cook pizza on high for 30 seconds at a time, or until the cheese is melted.
