Chocolate! It has magic in it. Think of tea with chocolate and you will feel the excitement. Now, honestly, you’ll love it when you want the caffeine in tea to relax and you are craving that mellow soothing flavor of hot chocolate. Sometimes, hot chocolate milk is too heavy and full of calories, the chai tea version is a “win-win” bargain. I usually make it at night when I want to enjoy some ‘Me Time’ alone. My other favorite is Pink tea. Although, you would tell me Mocha seems a better option for chocolate and caffeine combo. But the desi in me still loves the Chai over coffee as a hot drink. Still, thinking what is chocolate tea? It is any variety of tea with chocolate is chocolate tea. If it is black tea with milk, you can call it chocolate chai tea as well. When chai lovers are bored of having that same taste then they can go for this amazing beverage that will not only refresh their minds but will give a tranquilizing feeling that will wash away their tiredness in just one cup. Spicy Chocolate Tea: When I like some extra boost of flavors and relaxation after kids are in bed on a weekend night. I often add ½ teaspoon cardamom powder OR ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder at step 1 with cocoa powder. This makes a spiced tea that is quite aromatic. So stick to the classic version if spices and subtle flavors are not your things. Chocolate Syrup: This is a pantry-friendly recipe so if you run out of chocolate, chocolate syrup would work too. Add 4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and skip the brown sugar. Chocolate Iced Tea: You can chill the leftover in the fridge. Give it a stir! I’d like to blend with 2 cubes of ice to make it frothy and enjoy chilled iced chocolate milk tea. If you try this Chocolate tea recipe, I’d LOVE to hear your feedback in the comments.
